Last night in Hollywood, a car accident resulted in the death of two pedestrians, and left another pedestrian in critical condition. The three victims were on the crosswalk near Fountain Ave. and La Brea Avenue when the two-car accident occurred. Reports indicate that the two cars involved in the crash were traveling in opposite directions on La Brea. One of the vehicles (Toyota) travelling north on La Brea made a left turn on Fountain Ave. and struck the southbound vehicle (Fountain). The crash resulted in one car losing control and striking all three while they were in the crosswalk.
The Los Angeles Sherriff’s Department is investigating this crash and is reviewing video footage from the red light camera posted at that intersection. The drivers of the vehicles suffered no injuries. The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
