Xinhai Huang 22 Year Old USC Student Killed in Car Crash with DUI Driver

In a tragic incident out of South Los Angeles,  22-year-old Xinhai Huang was killed in a car crash on Monday, March 18, 2013 at 3:30am. The crash occurred at the intersection of Hyde Park Blvd and West Boulevard. Huang, a student at USC was a passenger in a Ford Mustang driven by a friend when it was struck by a woman who was intoxicated driving a Ford Explorer.

ALCOHOL PLAYED MAIN ROLE IN CAUSING THE CRASH

The explorer ran a red light, headed westbound and struck the passenger side of the vehicle Huang was travelling in. The driver, who is suspected of driving under the influence was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of her injuries will be arrested upon her release.

USC HONOR STUDENT

Xinhai Huang, was an electrical engineering major at USC and was in his junior year. Huang was an honor student and on the deans list.
