Two people were injured in San Diego on Thursday when a bicyclist collided with a motorcycle.

The collision occurred at around 5:37 a.m. at the intersection of Mira Mesa Boulevard and Parkdale Avenue. A cyclist was crossing Parkdale when he was hit by the motorcyclist.

The motorcyclist and bicyclist were both hospitalized, and their injuries are said to be life-threatening. Their names have not been released; both were males. The  bicyclist was a 28-year-old man and the motorcyclist was a 56-year-old man.

The collision, which shit down Mira Mesa Boulevard for hours, remains under investigation, but it is believed that the bicyclist was crossing against a red light.
