A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision in San Diego on Monday.
The collision occurred at around 6 p.m. in the 2300 block of Dusk Drive in the Paradise Hills region. The motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed when he was hit by a Scion xB, which has turned onto Dusk from Keen Drive.
The motorcyclist involved was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, including a nearly severed foot. He has been identified only as a 26-year-old male.
The driver of the car stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities. They have not been identified. The collision remains under investigation, but drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors.
