An ambulance collided with a car in San Diego on Thursday, causing two minor injuries.

The collision occurred at around 8:45 a.m. on the onramp to Interstate 15 from Carmel Mountain Road in Rancho Penasquitos. The precise circumstances of the collision are unclear, but it is believed that the car, a Ford Mustang, was headed east on Carmel Valley Road, while the ambulance was on the freeway ramp.

Both people who were injured were occupants of the Ford Mustang. Their names have not been released, but they are believed to have been in their teens.

There were no patients in the ambulance at the time. The ambulance did contain two medics, but neither one was injured in the crash.
