Fatal Tustin Car Crash Leaves One Dead; Another Injured


** UPDATE:  Susanna De La Riva, 21, of Santa Ana has been identified as the woman killed in yesterdays tragic crash off Tustin Ranch Road. It appears she was exiting the 5 freeway at Tustin Ranch Road when her car collided with an SUV. Reports say the other woman involved suffered minor injuries. The cause of the crash has still not been determined, however from the photo below, it appears that De La Riva’s car was t-boned or broadsided by the SUV.

This morning, a tragic car accident in Tustin Ranch left one woman dead and another injured. The crash was near the Tustin Ranch exit off the I-5 at around 5:00am.

Tustin Ranch is located in Orange County near Irvine, CA. Witnesses reported the crash and police along with EMS services showed up at the scene. One woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash and the other taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance.

    This exit is very dangerous, I few years ago I was involved an in minor accident in this same corner due to visibility and being allow to make a right turn on red. The city of Tustin should revise this exit and make it a mandatory to TURN RIGHT ONLY on GREEN.. Very fortunate my was just a minor bumper to bumper accident. My prayers goes to the family and very sorry about your lost. City Of TUSTIN make this EXIT Safer!!!!
