A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a bus in Tustin on Saturday.

The collision occurred at around p.m., in northbound lanes of the 55 freeway in the vicinity of Main Street. The motorcyclist, who appears to have been traveling at a high rate of speed, collided with a Freightliner tour bus and was thrown from his Harley-Davidson and into another vehicle.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as Loren Love, 64, of Orange. Head trauma is believed to be a cause of death.

It is unclear whether any other parties were injured; no other parties involved have been publicly identified.

The collision remains under investigation, and authorities are unsure what caused Love to rear-end the bus.
