Single-Vehicle Accident in Roseville Injures Justin M. Butler

A single-vehicle accident that took place in Roseville in the rural Warren County left one man injured. The incident took place on Monday, July 6. It occurred in the early morning hours before 1 a.m. The single-vehicle incident involved no other vehicles or individuals as per the available accident reports.

According to the details shared by the Illinois State Police, the man injured in the incident has been identified as Justin M. Butler, 23, of Macomb. Butler was traveling eastbound on the 40th Avenue when the accident happened. The roadway is also known as the Raritan Road. Just as he drew close to the 40th Street, he appeared to have lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle he was driving at the time was identified as a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix.

As he lost control of the vehicle, it left the roadway before running down the embankment. The vehicle then came to a stop on the northern side of the road after running across a creek.

Justin M. Butler sustained injuries in the incident and was taken to a nearby hospital by the emergency responders. The extent and nature of his injuries are not known at this time.

ISP continues to investigate the incident. The key focus of the investigations is to determine how the incident took place. Preliminary investigations hint that alcohol was not a factor. This is substantiated by the fact that ISP has cited Butler for improper lane use according to the latest accident reports. This indicates that speeding may have a contributing factor in the crash.
