Los Angeles Police Officers Injured In Helicopter Crash


Three police officers became victim to substantial injuries during the crash of an Los Angeles Police Department helicopter. On Thursday afternoon, the the helicopter hit down hard onto a General William J Fox Airfield taxi field in Lancaster, which is around 40 miles out of Los Angeles. The helicopter accident took place while the crew was engaging in a training exercise for using the helicopters. According to Ian Gregor of the FAA, they were currently practicing controlled landings but landed too hard.

In addition to damage amassed on the chopper, three of the officers were injured. One of the officers sustained moderate injuries, and the other two suffered minor injuries. Each of them were transported to a hospital for treatment but are expected to be fine.
