Highway accidents are frequent in the state of California. Authorities have advised pedestrians and drivers to always put safety first above all else to prevent fatalities.
When on the highway or freeway, drivers should ensure they are fully alert, and avoid getting behind the wheel if drowsy. When there is traffic congestion or bad weather, motorists should exercise extra care and caution.
Drivers should enter the freeway safely by turning on their signals and obeying traffic signs. They should also stay in a safe lane, drive at the prescribed speed, and leave a reasonable room between other vehicles.
