Authorities Confirm Rasheeda Marsh as Victim of Oakland Accident

On Saturday, February 29th, the police in Oakland, California, released the name of the woman who died in a single-vehicle crash. They identified her as 39-year-old, Rasheeda Marsh.

Marsh passed away on February 22nd, after she struck her car against a parked trailer on Middle Harbor Road, on the Port of Oakland. A preliminary investigation, conducted at the time, showed that the deceased was driving east when she crashed.

The woman drove her car into a parked trailer close to the west gate entrance of the Oakland International Container Terminal. The impact of the crash sent Marsh’s car into a nearby fence.

The deceased sustained severe injuries and the medics at the scene pronounced her dead. Aside from the woman, no one got injured from the accident, and the authorities ruled out drugs or alcohol as a factor.

However, the authorities have not uncovered what led to the accident. They have asked anyone with useful and credible information to call the police traffic investigators’ office landline.

Traffic accidents are one of the leading causes of death in California and the United States. Sometimes, accidents stem from reasons other than the negligence of drivers or an impairment.

A problem with the design of the car, famously called, manufacturer’s defect can lead to an accident. When this happens, both police and a private investigator hired by the victim, car, or insurance company will check the car to find the point of defect.

When it is proven that a defect in the vehicle led to the accident, the victim can bring a lawsuit against the manufacturing company. It sometimes leads to a corporate suit when more than one person has been involved in an accident due to the defect.
