On Thursday, March 5th, the video capturing a traffic accident in Los Angeles, California, got released by the authorities. The viral video shows David Zulalyan, 27, of Van Nuys, repeatedly slamming into the rear of a pickup truck.
Zulalyan, who was driving a white Maserati violently struck into the gray-colored truck, driven by an unidentified driver. The impact of the hit was so severe that the tires of the Maserati screeched and released smoke.
The accident happened on Monday, March 2nd, at about 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Victory Boulevard and Laurel Canyon, in North Hollywood, LA. An eye witness told the LAPD that the accident happened after the truck hit the fender bender of Zulalyan’s car.
The two men got into a heated argument, after which the truck driver drove away. Angered by the act, Zulalyan got into his car, not bothering to close to the door, and went after the second vehicle.
The video of the accident later came to the attention of the authorities. The LAPD arrested Zulalyan and charged him with assault with a deadly weapon.
The young man is out on bail and is set to be arraigned in court on March 24th. The charge against Zulalyan is brought either as a misdemeanor or a felony, depending on the circumstances of the case.
A conviction of assault with a deadly weapon comes with four years in county jail and a fine of $10 000, while a misdemeanor bags a year or less in prison, and a $1000 fine.
