Sentaws Sentaws Killed in Traffic Wreck in Pleasanton

The man who was killed on Tuesday morning in a vehicle highway crash in Pleasanton, California, has been identified by the authorities. Accident reports supplied by the Alameda County Coroner’s Office named the fatal victim as Sentaws Sentaws, 68, of Danville.

The tragic wreck took place just after 10 am on Tuesday, March 31, near the exit ramp of Santa Rita Road.

According to the reports, backed by eyewitness accounts, the crash victim was speeding along the east travel lanes on Interstate 580, in a 1999 Mercedes Benz ML 320.

Just as he neared the east exit of Santa Rita Road, the overspeeding driver made a sudden left turn, causing him to collide with the highway median.

The impact of the collision caused the car to become airborne, rolled over severally, before going through an opening on the road into a canal right underneath the highway. The crashed vehicle came to a halt on the driver’s door.

Emergency responders attempted to rescue Sentaws, but he was pronounced dead on the scene. Police officers did not immediately determine whether intoxication was also a factor in the speed-induced crash.

However, a spokesperson for the CHP, Officer Tyler Hann believed that a fault in the car or an underlying medical condition might have been responsible for the single-vehicle accident.

Post mortem examination results would confirm the deceased’s cause of death, as well as his intoxication status. The new findings by the medical examiner’s office would be included in the accident reports once concluded.
