Injured Victim of Traffic Collision in Lafayette Identified as Suallah Hatari Lloyd

A man who was severely injured on Monday night following a two-vehicle crash in the Lafayette region of Contra Costa County, California has been identified. The crash victim, who authorities named on Wednesday, April 8, as Suallah Hatari Lloyd, a 30-year-old Oakland resident, may require a drunk driving attorney.

The incident took place at about 11:30 pm on Monday, April 6. The California Highway Patrol reported that the almost fatal collision happened along Highway 24, near the exit ramp of Alcanes Road.

Two vehicles were involved, one of which was a Contra Costa County fire truck, and the other, a Honda sedan.

The Oakland resident was driving the sedan at high speed through the highway when he suddenly slammed into the parked fire truck.

Suallah Lloyd suffered severe but non-life-threatening injuries in the fiery collision and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Investigators determined that the injured motorist was under the influence of alcohol. He was eventually arrested by the police following his discharge from the hospital, for DUI-related charges.

Police said the fire truck was present at the roadway at the time of the incident to control a traffic accident which occurred earlier on the same route. No one else was hurt in the Honda sedan versus fire truck collision.

It is pertinent that motorists involved in a DUI-related traffic crash get in touch with a drunk driving attorney to access the case, and secure the best possible outcome.
