Michael Rodriguez Killed in Solo-Vehicle Crash in San Bernardino

Accident reports released by the San Bernardino authorities on Saturday, April 25, confirmed the death of a motorist who met his end after his vehicle crashed into a signal pole. The deadly incident took place on Mount Vernon Avenue in San Bernardino County, California.

The crash was reported just before 2:10 am on the said day, and involved a Nissan Maxima conveying a single occupant. Preliminary investigations revealed that the involved car was traveling through the south traffic lanes on Mount Vernon, towards the Rialto Avenue area.

The vehicle suddenly spun out of control for unknown reasons and drifted into the east curb, skidded forward for a few miles, before striking a signal pole.

When first responders arrived at the scene of the crash, they found the driver unresponsive. The man was confirmed dead by responding paramedics.

Authorities disclosed the fatal victim’s identity as Michael Rodriguez, a 34-year-old man from Upland. Neither drugs nor alcohol was suspected of having caused the traffic wreck.

Speed, however, appeared to be a factor as Rodriguez was reportedly engaged in a street race with another vehicle when the crash happened. No information was released concerning the build of the other car or its driver in the accident reports.

An investigation into the traffic accident that led to Michael Rodriguez’s death is underway. The investigations would determine exactly what caused the crash.

An update on the investigative findings would be released once made available.
