A car accident lawyer may be required after a female motorist turned up dead following a highway crash involving two vehicles four miles north of Desert Aire in Washington. Accident reports supplied by the Washington State Patrol confirmed that the incident occurred on Monday afternoon, April 27.

Officers responded to the location upon reports of a traffic collision between a 2006 Chevy Silverado and a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix on State Route 243.

According to a WSP trooper, John Bryant, the victim was the driver of the Pontiac, which was driving through the north travel lanes of the state route. The Chevy, whose operator was not identified, was also northbound on the freeway.

For unknown reasons, the Pontiac veered off the roadway right bound, and then overcorrected to the left, colliding with the northbound Chevy in the process.

The impact of the collision caused severe damages to both vehicles, leaving their respective drivers with major injuries. When paramedics arrived, they pronounced the Pontiac’s driver dead at the scene. Authorities have since identified the victim as Cricelia Zepedaacevedo, 38, of Desert Aire.

The other motorist, described as a 31-year-old resident of Mattawa, survived the crash and was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center for treatment. His condition was not disclosed.

Both Cricelia Zepedaacevedo and the Mattawa man were reported as the sole occupants of their vehicles, and no other casualty resulted from the encounter.

Following the crash, all lanes of SR-243 were shut down for five hours until the wreck was cleared out, and offices collected the required on-scene evidence.

A car accident lawyer can help victims of car accidents get due compensation for damages.
