The identification of a man killed in a two-vehicle crash in the Long Beach area of California calls for the legal involvement of a car accident lawyer. The Long Beach Police Department, on Wednesday, May 6, disclosed the fatal victim’s identity as Christopher Goldman, a 26-year-old Long Beach resident.
According to the accident reports, the victim met his end after his vehicle collided with another at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Rhea Street. Long Beach officers said they received reports about the fatal collision shortly after 10 am.
Initial reports showed that the motorist, driving a 1999 Toyota Camry, was traveling through Rhea street, towards Atlantic Avenue. At the same time, a 2008 Lexus ES350, driven by a 42-year-old man, was heading south on Atlantic Avenue.
Just as the Toyota driver attempted a left turn onto Atlantic, the Lexus struck his vehicle, causing undisclosed damages. Goldman suffered fatal injuries in the wreck, and medics responding at the scene confirmed him deceased.
The other motorist involved did not sustain any injury in the tragic accident. Officers believe the Lexus driver was not under the influence at the time of the collision. Further investigation would determine whether distracted driving or other accident causative factors played a role in the traffic wreck.
Authorities urged witnesses to contact the department with useful information that could facilitate the investigation. Auto accident victims can contact a car accident lawyer for consultation and legal counsel in due time.
