Jeep Crashes Into Condo, Narrowly Missing Home Owner, Quiming Zou in Danvers

A top accident lawyer would come in handy after a homeowner narrowly escaped injury or death when a jeep crashed into his condo in Danvers, Massachusetts. The incident played out on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 20.

The crash happened in a residential area on Garden Street called the Meadows. Reports showed the impact left severe damages in the condo complex, rendering it inhabitable.

Investigation conducted at the scene determined that the wreck involved a Jeep Wrangler driving through Garden Street. The Jeep suddenly veered off the roadway and crashed into the home at the Meadows. The vehicle ended up completely embedded in the condo, as shown in images obtained from Danvers authorities.

The homeowner, identified as Qiming Zou, was reportedly in his condo when the crash happened. Zou told police he was working from home when he heard a loud noise seconds before the jeep made its way into his apartment. The vehicle came to rest a few feet away from him. Zou escaped the wreck unharmed.

The operator of the vehicle remained trapped inside, moaning. Zou said he turned off the ignition and tried to help the motorist.

Emergency responders showed up a short while later and extricated the driver from the dented vehicle. Fire department personnel assisted in the rescue operation. Medics administered first aid to the victim on the scene. The reports described him as a 39-year-old Peabody resident.

Drugs and alcohol did not appear to be factors in the crash. Investigators believe an underlying medical condition led to the incident. The Peabody man would receive a citation for negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

The homeowner can consult a top accident lawyer to secure adequate compensation for property damage.
