A woman who ended up injured in Maricopa, California, after her vehicle collided with a semi-truck would require the services of a car injury lawyer. The fatal crash happened on the afternoon of Thursday, May 28.
The California Highway Patrol reported that at about 1:40 p.m. on the said day, a car and a truck traveling through Highway 166 collided. A third vehicle was also involved, and reportedly started the traffic crash near Short and Pentland roads.
The incident began when a pickup truck traveling west on the highway crossed the dividing line into oncoming traffic. A semi-truck loaded with dog food was at the time eastbound on U.S. 166, directly in front of a Subaru driven by 60-year-old Karen Almas. The reports stated that the wrong-way truck broadsided the semi on the eastbound lanes, and skidded forward until it slammed into the Subaru. The impact expelled the pickup driver from his vehicle.
The San Luis Obispo woman operating the Subaru sustained minor to moderate injuries in the traffic collision. Medics transported her to a hospital for treatment, while the semi driver, identified as Ralph Seeley, a resident of Chandler, went unscathed.
Meanwhile, the 63-year-old man operating the pickup did not survive the wreck. Authorities withheld his name pending notification of his next of kin.
The CHP is investigating the deadly crash.
Injured victims of car accidents should strive to involve a car injury lawyer to help them secure maximum compensation for damages.
