A car accident lawyer would be useful following the identification of a motorist who died over the weekend in Mead Valley, California. The Riverside County Coroner’s Office on Monday, June 15, disclosed the victim’s identity as Mechelle Leon, an 18-year-old resident of Riverside.
The California Highway Patrol dispatched officers to the scene of the accident just after 9:15 p.m., on Sunday, June 14, on reports of a two-vehicle collision. The occurrence played out just outside the 20790 block of Markham Street. The Riverside County Fire Department officials also responded at the scene and found the woman in critical condition.
Leon was reportedly driving a vehicle through Markham Street, with at least two passengers accompanying her in the car. The CHP reported that a dark-colored SUV slammed into Leon’s vehicle, causing severe damages.
Paramedics accompanying the fire department operatives administered life-saving measures on the driver, but she succumbed to her injuries. They pronounced her deceased at the scene.
Two other occupants of the struck automobile also sustained injuries and received transportation to the hospital. One of them sustained severe injuries, while the other had injuries described as moderate. Their identities remain withheld.
Meanwhile, the operator of the SUV did not stop to assist the victim but fled the scene. No information about the suspect’s identity is available at this time. Investigators described the hit-and-run motorist’s vehicle as a black or tan SUV of the 2000s-model, possibly sporting a missing front grill and headlight.
Detectives urged anyone with information about the crash, or the motorist responsible, to contact the Riverside CHP office.
