Solo-Vehicle Crash in Solano County Ends the Lives of Michael Pascua and Fely Pascua

Two people died after a vehicle they were traveling in left the roadway and crashed into a fence in Solano County, California. The California Highway Patrol reported the incident on Monday afternoon, June 15.

The CHP dispatched officers to a location on Interstate Highway 505, after receiving emergency calls of a single-vehicle wreck. The reports confirmed that an Alameda couple lost their lives in the 2:08 p.m. crash, at the Gaddino Road offramp, near Winters.

The Solano County Coroner’s Office said Michael Pascua, 72, and Fely Pascua, 71, died from injuries sustained after their 1999 Ford F-150 crashed. The victims were traveling through the northbound lanes of l-505 when their pickup drifted off the road. The truck crashed through a chain-link fence and struck a tree in an orchard before eventually coming to rest just south of Putah Creek Road.

When response crews arrived, they found the wrecked vehicle in the field, about 40 feet off the roadway. Michael and Fely Pascua did not survive the collision.

Investigating officers are yet to establish what caused the Pascuas’ truck to leave the roadway and crash into the fence. The CHP officers ruled out impairment by drugs or alcohol as a possible factor. They urged witnesses with information about the accident to get in touch with the CHP Solano area office. Subsequent accident reports would include additional findings from the investigations.
