Yuba City Suspected Hit-and-Run Driver Identified as Kassidey Dunn

On Wednesday, August 5th, the alleged hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a pedestrian in an accident in Yuba City, California, was identified. Kassidey Dunn, a 20-year-old resident of Marysville, would need a top accident lawyer’s service.

The crash report showed that the incident happened on Garden Highway and South Percy Avenue during the early hours of Wednesday, at about 12:40 a.m. The Yuba City Police said that the events leading to the collision began with Dunn operating a Ford Edge eastbound on Garden.

At the same time, a pedestrian walked on South Percy, crossing through the road’s intersection with the Garden. The police said that the suspect struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason. When Yuba City Fire Department and paramedics arrived at the scene, they found the victim lying on the roadway unresponsive.

The medics pronounced the pedestrian dead, and the police will release the person’s name after notifying the next-of-kin. Dunn fled the scene after the collision, but she later surrendered at the police station, and they placed her under arrest. The accident remains under investigation.

Under California law, a person involved in an accident must stop at the scene, and if there’s no parking space, the nearest possible place where traffic won’t get impeded. If it’s the latter, the person should return to the scene and call the police and an ambulance. Check for injuries, render help, try to gather information from witnesses if possible, and wait for the relevant authorities to arrive.
