Alexander Masters Survives Tehama Two-Vehicle Collision

One of the car accident reports from the Tehama area of California revealed that a man survived a two-vehicle collision with injuries. 21-year-old Alexander Masters of White City, Oregon, drove one of the vehicles involved in the Wednesday, August 12th, incident.

The crash happened around 2:50 p.m. as the victim traveled on the westbound lane of Gyle Road. The report disclosed that Masters failed to stop and collided with a vehicle operated by 47-year-old Corning resident Leticia Serna.

Both drivers sustained minor injuries and received treatment at St. Elizabeth Hospital. There is no further information at this time.

Motor vehicle accidents are one of the leading causes of deaths in California and the United States. Collisions claim lives daily, and they are preventable if drivers follow safety tips released by law enforcement and traffic agencies from time to time, and obey the road’s rules.

Drivers should pull into traffic slowly, stop, look, listen, and pay attention to blind spots, especially when driving behind a semi-truck. When at an intersection and about to make a right-hand turn, look in both directions twice before proceeding as vehicles can quickly appear out of nowhere.

Count three before entering an intersection on a green light, look both ways to ensure no one is trying to drive through a yellow light. Exercise caution when passing semis, keep at least one hand on the steering wheel and reduce in-car distractions like changing radio stations, using cell phones, or eating. Watch for kids, perform engine maintenance, and scan the road 12 seconds ahead.
