The Fresno County authorities have disclosed the identity of a man who ended up dead following a crash involving three vehicles in Fresno, California. They released his name as 68-year-old Joe Faz of Sanger, on Thursday, August 20th, in an updated report of the car accident.

The California Highway Patrol established from investigations that one of the vehicles was traveling west on Highway 180 while another vehicle, a big rig, was eastbound. The westbound vehicle slowed down to negotiate a turn on Chateau Fresno, prompting the big rig to slow down.

Just then, an oncoming 18-wheeler, westbound on 180 turned left, directly onto the path of the eastbound big rig, causing a collision. The operator of the eastbound 18-wheeler sustained life-threatening injuries in the wreck. An ambulance transported him to Community Regional Medical Center. His sole passenger, Joe Faz, did not survive the crash.

Drugs and alcohol did not appear as contributing factors in the crash. The incident remains under investigation by the CHP.

When accidents occur, they may result in a variety of factors such as incapacitating injuries, death, and loss of properties. Although insurance policies may cover for the latter, the other two factors result in irreversible consequences, leaving victims and their families distressed.
