19- Year- Old Sadie Martin Dies in Loma Rica Accident

The young woman who died in an accident in Loma Rica, 51 miles to Sacramento, California, has been identified by the authorities. On Thursday, March 26th, they released her identity as Sadie Martin, 19.

The teenager died from injuries sustained after she was struck down by a car. The accident that claimed Martin’s life occurred on the night of Saturday, March 21st, at about 8 p.m. on Loma Rica Road near Highway 20.

The preliminary accident report showed that the young woman was pushing a 2005 Honda in the southbound lane of the Loma Rica roadway when a 2011 Chrysler going at top speed crashed into her.

The California Highway Patrol, Yuba-Sutter office, identified the driver of the Chrysler as 20-year-old, Randall Lewis Fletcher. Martin was pronounced dead by deputies from the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office.

Fletcher sustained minor injuries to his neck and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing, and so far, there is no information on whether or not the male driver was cited.

High speed is one of the leading causes of accidents in California and the United States of America. Statistics have shown that careless and impaired drivers often drive beyond the speed limit, with their actions resulting in an accident.

Drivers, who go beyond the speed limit, drive 10, 20, or sometimes 30 times over the legal limit. To combat this, traffic officials put up signs to remind drivers of the allowed speed on a particular roadway, and have advised motorists to adhere to them.
