33-Year-Old Aaron Islas Dies in Oxnard Motorcycle Accident


A man lost his life in Oxnard, California, after he crashed his motorcycle against a big rig on the night of Wednesday, March 4th. Oxnard Police Department identified him as Aaron Islas, 33, of Ventura.

The fatal accident occurred at about 11:16 p.m. in the area of Teal Club Road and Victoria Avenue. A report by the OPD stated that Islas was riding a 2016 Indian Scout motorcycle north when he collided with the big rig turning onto Teal Club Road.

The crash left Islas with extensive injuries, and the medics pronounced him dead at the scene. The driver of the big rig, whom authorities identified as a 40-year-old, Oxnard resident stayed back and cooperated with the police.

The police have not provided any additional information on the crash. Drugs or alcohol do not seem to have factored in the crash, and there is no charge against the rig driver at the time of this report.

The California Highway Patrol is heading the investigation. Road accidents are not uncommon in California, and there’s a high casualty rate at a per hour and daily basis.

When a person is involved in an accident, he or she gets into a panic that often results in fleeing the scene. Under California, traffic law everyone involved in an accident, whether or not the person has a liability, should remain at the scene.

The person (s) should cooperate with the authorities and leave accurate contact information. The standard kinds of road accidents are vehicle collisions, single-vehicle crashes, vehicle-versus-pedestrian crashes, and vehicle-versus-motorcycle collisions.
