Armando Coronado Faces Personal Injury Lawsuit Following Dog Attack in Goleta


A 24-year-old Goleta man was arrested over the weekend after two canines belonging to him broke through a fence, into the neighbor’s property, and attacked the neighbor in Goleta, California. As stated in the accident reports, the mishap took place just before noon on Sunday, April 12.

Reporting the incident, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department said the vicious attack went down at about 11:30 am on San Milano Drive.

The dogs reportedly belonged to Armando Coronado and had previous records of violence, according to accounts obtained from residents.

Following the attack, one of the neighbors was able to successfully restrain the dogs, preventing further damages until sheriff’s deputies arrived.

Residents around the San Milano Drive area directed the responding officers to Coronado’s residence, as revealed in a statement by the county sheriff’s office spokesperson, Raquel Zicks.

Officers took the Goleta man into custody on charges of possession of a mischievous animal that caused serious bodily injury. The jail records obtained did not specify the terms of bail.

The gravity of the canine attack was not disclosed in the accident reports. Also, authorities did not reveal the identity and state of health of the assaulted victim to the public. An investigation into the bizarre occurrence is underway.

Armando Coronado may be required to pay monetary compensation to the victim for damages caused. The compensation for personal injury is also expected to cover all medical expenses incurred during the treatment of injuries and other health conditions suffered as a result of the canine attack.
