Four pedestrians killed after a collision along San Pasqual Valley Road, California, were identified on Wednesday, May 6. Accident reports revealed that the victims’ names are Carmela Camacho, 50, Abel Valdez, 33, and two juveniles, Yovanny Felix, 10, and Emmanuel Riva, 11.
According to the family members of the victims, Camacho and her partner, Valdez, sustained fatal injuries in the crash, while her grandchildren, Felix, and Riva also died.
The deadly crash occurred on Tuesday. May 5. Police reports state that a 2014 Mazda 3 was traveling north on San Pasqual Valley Road when it suddenly hit the family of four from behind for reasons yet unknown. The accident happened at about 8:30 p.m., close to Oak Hill Drive.
When paramedics arrived at the scene, they quickly attended to the victims, following which they pronounced Valdez and one of the juveniles dead. The medics rushed Camacho and the other kid to Palomar Medical Center but they sadly died from the injuries they incurred after the crash.
The driver of the Mazda, identified as a 28-year-old Escondido woman, also sustained minor injuries from the crash and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Investigations into the cause of the accident remain ongoing.
