The Fresno County Coroner, on Wednesday, June 10th, identified the pedestrian who died in a hit-and-run collision in Fresno, California. Rosendo Lozano-Hernandez, a 56-year-old resident of the city, died from injuries sustained in the Tuesday, June 9th, occurrence.
The accident report released by the Fresno Police Department showed that the collision occurred late at night around 10:30 p.m. along Blackstone Avenue near Abbey Street. Investigating officers said a vehicle struck Lozano-Hernandez for unknown reasons near Belmont Avenue. A woman made a 911 call after seeing the victim lying on the street.
Responding paramedics found the man in that position when they arrived and pronounced him dead. The driver and the vehicle involved were nowhere in sight, leading the police to block Blackstone Avenue while investigating.
