A fire outbreak after a motor vehicle accident is not very common, but it leads to fatal injuries for those trapped inside when it occurs. One of the common causes of a car fire is mechanical and electrical failures; it covers problems like heated seats, heating systems, and batteries.
Fluid leakage also causes a fire. If the vehicle falls on its tank and starts leaking fuel, it could cause a fire, and the force of the collision against a stationary object or another car can make it go up in flames.
Aside from fuel, the presence of explosive fumes like gasoline vapor causes fire after an accident. Drivers who are responsive after a crash should quickly exit the car if they notice the preceding to prevent getting trapped by flames.
