Fatal Victim of San Dimas Car Crash Identified as Enrique Frutis


At least two people are dead following a ghastly traffic crash in San Dimas, California, the California Highway Patrol has confirmed. Authorities on Tuesday, April 21, disclosed the identity of one of the victims as 63-year-old Enrique Frutis.

The incident took place at night on Sunday, April 19, on 10 Freeway, near Kellogg Drive. According to the CHP, the traffic occurrence involved no fewer than three vehicles plying the route at the time.

At about 11:19 pm, officers responded to the accident on the San Bernardino Freeway. Investigators did not immediately establish the circumstances leading to the multi-vehicle collision.

Paramedics accompanying the CHP confirmed the death of two people at the scene, including Enrique Frutis, whose hometown was unknown.

The other fatal victim was a man confirmed to be in his 50s. According to a CHP spokesperson, Patrick Kimball, it was unclear whether the second deceased person was riding in one of the vehicles involved, or simply plying the route as a pedestrian prior to the crash.
