Nou Yang Identified as the Fatal Victim of an Auto-Pedestrian Accident in California

On Thursday, September 17th, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office identified the man killed in an auto-pedestrian accident in Fresno, California. The coroner revealed the victim’s name as Nou Yang, 62.

The incident happened on Saturday night, September 12th. The Fresno Police said in the accident report that Yang was pushing his granddaughter in a stroller around 7:20 p.m. when a vehicle struck him.

The collision happened near Clinton Avenue and Weber Avenue. Responding medics rushed the victim to a hospital where medical personnel pronounced him dead. The child, a 4-year-old sustained minor bruising.

The driver involved fled the scene. The police described the suspect car as a white 2018-2019 Nissan Maxima or Altima with possible front-end damage. Anyone with helpful information that could lead to a positive arrest should contact the Fresno Police on the listed line.

Under the California Vehicle Code, it is an offense for a driver or anyone involved in an accident to leave the scene without making a report of the occurrence or stopping to check for injury or damage to property.
