George Rowlands Killed in Car-Motorcycle Collision in Camarillo

The expertise of a motorcycle accident attorney would come in handy following a fatal two-vehicle collision involving a motorbike and a car in Camarillo, California. The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon, May 20.

The Ventura County authorities dispatched deputies to a location on Petit Street following reports of a traffic collision a few miles east of Dawson Drive. Police said a motorbike and a 2-door coupe collided at about 12:30 p.m., leading to the death of the motorcycle rider.

Preliminary investigations revealed the victim was traveling along Petit in a motorcycle when he veered into the path of the car and both vehicles collided. The motorbike operator ended up on the roadway after being expelled from the two-wheeled vehicle due to the impact.

Paramedics accompanying the Ventura County Fire Department officials pronounced the rider dead at the scene. The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office later identified the deceased as George Rowlands, a 60-year-old resident of Simi Valley. He died from blunt force injuries suffered in the accident.

The driver of the involved car, identified as a 73-year-old Potter Ranch man survived the wreck. The reports, however, failed to ascertain whether or not he suffered an injury.

Deputies are investigating the case to determine the cause and liability of the fatal collision. They asked anyone with information about the crash to contact the Ventura County Sheriff’s office.

People who have lost a loved one in a motorcycle crash can seek legal counsel from a motorcycle accident attorney to determine the next line of action.
