Hesperia Multiple Collision Kills Crystal Harris and Kahlil Hooks

Jeremy Lizenbee

An accident report from the Hesperia area of California tells of the tragic death of one adult and three teenagers. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department on Monday, June 1st, identified two of the victims as 26-year-old Crystal Jewel Harris, a city resident, and 18-year-old Victorville resident, Kahlil Hooks.

The authorities said that the remaining two teens reside in Apple Valley and Fontana, and they are both girls and aged 16. The deadly collision took place at approximately 11:11 p.m. on a roadway near Hesperia Road and Lemon Street.

Harris was a driver in one of the vehicles involved in the accident. Out of the multiple cars that crashed, the California Highway Patrol only identified a 2004 Dodge Ram pickup truck and a blue sedan. However, they failed to disclose the events that led to the collision.

The investigators said that asides Harris, Kahlil, and the teen girls who died, one unnamed person suffered severe trauma. The paramedics transported the individual to an undisclosed trauma center, and there’s no update on the victim’s condition.

The police have not released additional details about the crash, and the investigation to discover the cause of the collision is ongoing. The sheriff’s office is handling the investigation.

Accident reports show that multiple car crashes begin with the negligence of one driver and cause a string of reactions that affects other drivers. Motorists must always practice safe road habits, put their safety, that of their passengers, and other road users first.
