The occurrence led to the closure of the roadway in both directions while the CHP collected evidence and cleared the scene. There is no additional information.
Auto-motorcycle collisions are avoidable if drivers and motorcycle riders follow the road’s rule and prioritize safety. Due to the high fatality rate among motorcyclists, law enforcement and traffic agencies advise that riders take extra precaution when operating the two-wheeled drive.
Extra precaution covers wearing the appropriate gear to reduce the severity of the injuries sustained. Enhance visibility at night with headlights and reflective clothing, stay awake and alert, and avoid drinking and riding. Avoid riding in adverse weather, hone riding skills with continuous education, avoid lane splitting, and weaving in and out of traffic.
