Jonathan Rodriguez Turns Himself in for Fontana Vehicle-Pedestrian Accident

Elver Cruz

A man who turned himself in for an accident in Fontana, California, that killed a pedestrian would need a car injury attorney’s service. The police said that the accident occurred on Wednesday night, May 27th, the same day Jonathan Rodriguez, 31, surrendered.

The crash report disclosed that the fatal accident took place around 9:41 p.m. The Fontana Police Department said in a press release that the details of the crash are not immediately available. They disclosed that when officers arrived at the accident scene, they found an unidentified 55-year-old man on the roadway.

The man was severely injured and later passed away from his wounds. The deceased had been riding his motorized wheelchair on Foothill Boulevard before the collision that ended his life. Rodriguez, who struck the man, was behind the wheels of a 2001 Ford Taurus.

After the accident, the man fled the scene, and investigators found his vehicle abandoned a short distance from the accident scene. Rodriquez had a change of mind about his action and turned himself to the FPD at an undisclosed time.

The police did not release the charge the man is facing, and they are keeping the investigation active. Anyone with relevant information should contact the Fontana Police on the listed line.

Under the California Vehicle Code, a person who leaves the scene of an accident without helping an injured person or leaving his or her information is guilty of hit-and-run. Anyone involved in the later should secure the service of a car injury attorney to represent his or her interest.
