A solo car crash is one of the common types of road accidents in California and the United States. It is caused by the negligence of the operator of the vehicle or external influences beyond his or her control. The latter covers adverse road conditions, adverse weather conditions like rain, snow, fog, animal sighting, mechanical defect, and an underlying medical condition.

Negligence covers running red lights or stops signs, driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or distracted driving. Drivers should avoid the preceding and make safety a priority always.
