Two vehicles collided in Laguna Niguel Wednesday evening at 6:30, seriously injuring a pedestrian.
The two vehicles involved were a 2010 white BMW Mini Cooper, driven by a 34-year-old woman, and a 2014 white Mercedes, driven by a 33-year-old woman. Circumstances are still unclear, but both vehicles appear to have been traveling on Niguel Road towards Alicia Parkway when the crash occurred.
Police are attempting to find witnesses to the crash, to get a clearer picture of what occurred.
The pedestrian, a 55-year-old male, was hospitalized with major injuries. His condition is currently unclear.
The driver of the Mini Cooper has been arrested, and is being held for driving under the influence and assault with a deadly weapon. She has been identified as Jamie Mulford of Laguna Niguel. Her bail was posted at $300,000.
