Motor vehicle accidents are one of the leading causes of death in the United States. Crashes occur due to various reasons, and they are avoidable if drivers obey the rules of the road and follow safety tips released by law enforcement and traffic authorities.

The latter includes driving without the impairment of drugs or (and) alcohol, maintaining the legal and posted speed limit, avoiding distractions while in transit, and obeying stop signs and traffic lights. Frequently maintain the vehicle, check for fluid leakage, ensure the tires are fit for weather and road conditions and avoid driving while impaired.
