Details Emerge on Fatal Crash that Killed Moped Driver, Eduardo Torres Collado

The police department in Los Angeles, California, is actively investigating a fatal auto-moped collision that took place last week Wednesday along the freeway at the interchange of Barrington Avenue and Olympic Boulevard.

A report by the Los Angeles Police Department released on Friday, March 13, confirmed that the cause of the accident, which later claimed the victim’s life, was yet to be determined.

Officers of the LAPD who responded at the scene determined that the fatal victim met his end after he was tragically struck by a vehicle while driving a moped across the freeway.

The deceased, who has since been identified as Eduardo Torres Collado, was propelling his moped through the intersection of Barrington Avenue and Olympic Boulevard at about 4:45 pm when an approaching vehicle struck the moped and knocked him off.

Paramedics accompanying the LAPD arrived at the scene shortly after and found the man still breathing, with several major injuries, and his auto bike dented. The emergency responders rushed the severely hurt victim to an area hospital, where he died due to his injuries, as stated in the report.

No further detail about the crash was revealed by the authorities. It is unclear if impairment was a factor in the unfortunate auto-moped collision.

The cause of the fatal crash remains under investigation by the Los Angeles Police department. Further reports on the traffic accident would be released once investigations are completed.
