Motorcycle Crash in Jurupa Valley Kills Randy Navarrette

Randy Navarrette

A motorcycle crash on Sunday evening, February 23rd, left a man from Fontana dead. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office Identified him as Randy Navarrette, 46.

The accident occurred when a motorist made a sharp left turn in front of Navarrette’s motorcycle. It took place on the Country Village Road in Jurupa Valley, California, precisely at the intersection of the CVR and Wagon Road.

The sheriff department investigation showed that the deceased was heading south when a car traveling north turned into his lane without giving notice. Navarrette could not avoid crashing into the car and hit it on its passenger’s side.

The deceased got ejected from his bike and landed hard on the roadway. The coroner’s report showed that he died as soon as he hit the ground, as he suffered severe trauma.

The driver of the car who made the wrong turn stopped at the scene to help the police with their investigation. A chat with the driver revealed that alcohol or drugs, which leads to driver’s impairment, are not factors in the crash.

The investigation into the accident is still ongoing, and the Jurupa Valley Traffic Reconstruction Team is in charge. They’ve asked witnesses who haven’t spoken to the police to contact their office.

When a death occurs from a driver’s negligent action, he or she has a degree of liability answerable in a court of law. The family, estate, or personal representative of the victim can bring a personal injury or wrongful death, or both lawsuits against the offending driver.

When that happens, the court will look at the degree of liability of the driver amid other factors. If the driver is liable, he or she will make restitution in the form of monetary compensation as determined by the court.
