Shalene Butler, 23, lost her life early Monday morning, June 8th, in a single-vehicle crash in San Francisco, California. The California Highway Patrol in the car accident report stated that the victim lost control of her car and crashed on the freeway.
The crash report showed that at about 6:35 a.m., the woman was driving a black Honda Civic eastbound on Interstate 80, west on San Pablo Dam Road exit. The CHP said that Butler drove the vehicle into the right shoulder, then veered back across the freeway before crashing into the center divider.
The investigators have not discovered what caused the victim to lose control of the Honda, but they do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the occurrence. The CHP is looking for witnesses to give their statements and advised them to call their listed line.
Single-vehicle collisions occur for several reasons that range from the negligence of road users to unforeseen circumstances on the roadway. Safety tips for drivers include obeying all speed limits and signs, paying attention to the road, driving responsibly, and without drugs or (and) alcohol.
Drivers should always use their seat belts, carry out a safety check before driving, maintain the vehicle frequently, use stop signs, and obey traffic rules and regulations. When driving at dusk or dawn, turn the headlights on, and if a crash occurs, file a car accident report with the local law enforcement authorities.
