Traffic Collision in San Diego Leaves Daniel Barajas and Claudia Cabrera Injured

A car injury lawyer would be needed after two people sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle collision on southbound Interstate 5 Freeway in San Diego, California that left them hospitalized. The tragic occurrence took place on Thursday, April 16.

According to the California Highway Patrol report, the collision involved a Toyota and a Jeep, moving along I-5 Freeway, near Dairy Mart at about 2:27 pm.

Investigators determined that the white Toyota was traveling at a high speed, along the south lanes of the freeway. While in transit, it collided with a red Jeep which was plying the same route.

As a result of the impact, one of the vehicles slammed into a raised median and suffered further damages.

Two victims, whose names were disclosed as Daniel Barajas and Claudia Cabrera sustained injuries. While Barajas was transported to Scripps Chula Vista hospital, Cabrera was taken to UCSD for treatment. Their injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

It was not immediately made clear whether drugs and alcohol contributed to the traffic accident. The state’s highway patrol is investigating the incident to determine the cause and liability of the collision.

Victims of car wrecks are urged to consult a legal expert before proceeding to contact their insurance companies. Also, in traffic collisions resulting in injuries, the injured party is expected to seek counsel from a car injury lawyer, who could assess the case and secure maximum compensation for incurred expenses and damages.
