A traffic wreck reported on the night of Wednesday, May 6, would require the legal expertise of a car accident lawyer. One victim turned up dead as a result of the incident, which police said involved two subsequent crashes on a major highway in Fairfield, California.
The California Highway Patrol revealed in a statement that a car struck a 29-year-old man from Texas at about 9:22 p.m. The victim was reportedly in the middle of the Highway after exiting his vehicle to assess the situation following an initial traffic crash.
According to the reports, Tyler Mazac, 29, of Hockley, in Texas, was driving a Chrysler 300 on a ramp from Highway 12 to westbound Interstate 20. Officers said the motorist caused a collision between a Vacaville resident and a Kia. The reports did not divulge details of the first collision.
After this initial crash, Mazac alighted from his Chrysler and was standing on the road when a passing car ran him over. He suffered fatal injuries in the accident, and first responders at the scene pronounced him dead. A 38-year-old resident of Suisun was behind the wheels of the vehicle that struck and killed Mazac.
The reports failed to ascertain whether drugs, alcohol, or distracted driving contributed to the wreck, or if any other casualty resulted from the occurrence.
Anyone involved in an auto vehicle crash can contact a car accident lawyer for counsel, and if deemed necessary, representation.
