Truck Driver, Tanner Robinson, Faces DUI Charges for Killing Motorist

A drunk driving attorney may be required in the Sonoma County area after a suspected DUI motorist was arrested for killing a male driver in Santa Rosa, California. The man, who was taken into police custody on Thursday, April 2, was charged with DUI and is now held in a county jail.

The fatal incident took place at about 7:30 am on Thursday, along Highway 12. Officers with the California Highway Patrol were dispatched to the site of the crash upon reports of a two-vehicle collision on the east travel lanes of the highway.

Investigators determined that the fatal victim was driving through Highway 12, approaching Oakmont Drive in a Honda Civic.

At the same time, a tree-trimming truck belonging to Atlas Tree was traveling eastbound on the roadway, also approaching Oakmont Drive.

The truck, driven by Tanner Robinson, 29 got to a road intersection, with the red light up, but failed to yield to the stop sign.

As a result, the vehicle struck the Honda Civic, which had the right of way, leading to fatal wreckage. The operator of the Civic did not survive the tragic crash.

The driver of the tree-trimming truck failed field sobriety test and was arrested by the police for DUI-related charges, including gross vehicular manslaughter.

Most traffic offenses on highways are often linked to driving under the influence. Sadly, the majority of these accidents result in the death of the victim, which has, in recent times, increased the demand for a drunk driving attorney in the State of California.
