Vehicle-Pedestrian Collision Kills Jesus Godines in Fresno County


A traffic wreck involving a car and a pedestrian occurred this week in Fresno County, California. The Fresno County Coroner’s Office said 46-year-old Jesus Godines, of Fresno, died in the Wednesday, August 19th accident.

Car Accident reports obtained from the police in Fresno county revealed that a female motorist was driving the vehicle. The car was heading southbound on Maple Avenue when it encountered a man seated in the middle of the roadway.

The motorist told Fresno officers that she spotted the man a little too late to avoid a collision. Godines died at the scene, from injuries suffered in the crash. Fresno Police Department Officers responded to the incident at about 9:30 p.m.

The operator of the vehicle pulled over and stayed at the scene until law enforcement arrived and cooperated with them. No other information is available at this time.An investigation into the incident is ongoing, headed by the Fresno Police Department.
