In Venice, California this week, a small plane crashed on a city golf course carrying pilot and sole occupant Harrison Ford. Ford crashed on the Penmar Golf Corse on Rose Avenue early in the afternoon, according to Erik Scott from the Fire Department.
TMZ broke the story that Ford had been piloting the airplane. Fortunately, nobody else was hurt in the accident. Star Wars fans may be relieved to know that shooting has already wrapped on Episode 7.
At last report, Ford was ready to undergo surgery for broken ankle and pelvis bones, according to KTLA.
Although nobody else was injured, some details remain up in the air. For instance: will the owners of the golf course seek recompense? Even when a crash "could have been worse," it’s hard to know how things will play out, and it’s good to have legal expertise on your side.
