Authorities: Terri Hazard Dies In Wreck Near North Bonneville

Authorities said a Stevenson woman was pronounced dead Thursday afternoon from injuries she sustained in a multi-vehicle wreck on Washington 14 near North Bonneville.

The Washington State Patrol reported that Terri L. Hazard, 57, was driving west on Washington 14 at about 2:15 p.m. Thursday when she lost control of her vehicle. Hazard’s vehicle, identified by authorities as a Lexus, veered into oncoming traffic.

She struck one truck that was traveling eastbound on the highway, then crashed into a second one that also was traveling east on Washington 14, according to the Washignton State Patrol.

Authorities said Hazard died from her injuries. Her passenger, William L. Hazard, 77, of Carson, also was hurt in the crash, and was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver for treatment, troopers said.

Authorities have identified the drivers of the trucks as Randall C. Grudzinski, 61, of Walla Walla, and Christopher S. Chahon, 40, of Somers, Mont. Neither man was injured as a result of the crash, according to troopers.

The Washington State Patrol released few additional details about the crash. It is unclear whether investigators believe any other factors contributed to the wreck.
