DUI Crash in Spokane Valley Leaves Ximena Delgado, Three Others Injured

Ximena Delgado

A suspected DUI motorist now faces DUI charges following a traffic collision that left him and three others hospitalized with injuries in Spokane Valley, Washington. The almost fatal incident, which took place on Monday morning, May 18, calls for the intervention of a drunk driving attorney.

The Washington State Patrol deployed troopers to the crash site shortly after receiving reports of a traffic wreck on Interstate 90. The crash involved a single vehicle conveying no fewer than four occupants.

Investigators gathered that an 18-year-old man, identified as Ximena Delgado, was behind the wheels of the car, heading east on I-90. Just as the vehicle approached the Evergreen Exit, it slammed into a concrete barrier and went through a chainlink fence. The car covered a few miles before coming to rest near Nora.

Delgado, and his three passengers including Anthony Burden, 18, of Ellensburg, Takarah Duncan of Spokane and 19-year-old Isaiah Duncan, 20, of Spokane Valley, all sustained injuries in the wreck. Police said none of them was wearing a seat belt when the collision happened.

One of the passengers suffered multiple fractures to his skull, while another complained of inability to feel anything in his hands. First responders transported the four victims to Sacred Heart Hospital for urgent medical care.

Investigators believe Ximena Delgado was under the influence at the time of the crash. In addition to DUI violations, the motorist faces charges of vehicular assault.

Motorists involved in DUI-related accidents can contact a drunk driving attorney for counsel and representation.
