Authorities Id Those Killed In Bush Prairie Crash As Kristi Byars, Rosa Wilson, Juniper Wilson

– Authorities have identified the three people killed Friday in a multi-vehicle crash north of Bush Prairie.

Kristi J. Byars, 41, of Battle Ground, was driving north on Washington 503 just before 4 p.m. Friday when she drifted into the southbound lane near the Salmon Creek Bridge. Her vehicle collided with another driven by Rosa M. Wilson, 31, of Bush Prairie, head-on.

The Washington State Patrol said Wilson and her daughter, 5-year-old Juniper, died in the wreck. Byars also was killed, according to authorities.

It wasn’t immediately clear what factors are believed to have contributed to the wreck, authorities said.

Wilson’s other children, Elliot, 7, and Iona, 3, were in the vehicle at the time and suffered serious injuries. According to a GoFundMe page set up by a friend, Elliot and Iona were “critically injured and (are) receiving care at Randall Children’s Hospital.”

“In addition to the funeral expenses and medical needs, Brian (Wilson, Rosa’s husband) is now faced with the challenge of parenting alone,” organizers wrote in the funding campaign post.

The effort has raised, as of Sunday evening, nearly $110,000 toward a $200,000 goal.
